ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW 

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Executive Assistant /Intern/ position who meet the following requirements.

Salary:                             As per the organization salary scale (Competitive)

Job Summary

Executive Assistant /Intern/ responsible for providing administrative support to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE). This role involves managing schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements, handling official communications, organizing meetings and events, serving as a liaison between the Deputy CEO and various NEBE departments, regional offices, and external stakeholders, upholding confidentiality and ethical principles, and ensuring accurate documentation and budget management.

Duties and responsibilities

Primary responsibilities of the Executive Assistant:

  • Providing administrative support to the Deputy CEO, including managing schedules, appointments and travel arrangements.

  • Handling official communications, correspondence and record-keeping for the Deputy CEO's Office.

  • Assisting in preparing and organizing meetings, conferences, and official events.

  • Serving as a liaison between the CEO and other NEBE’s departments, regional offices and external stakeholders.

    Coordination and Communication

  • Assist in Coordinate with other NEBE’s departments and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

    Confidentiality and Integrity

  • Exhibit confidentiality and uphold ethical principles in all interactions and activities of the Deputy CEO's Office.

    Documentation

  • Assist by ensuring timely and accurate documentation of activities within the Deputy CEO's Office.

    Budget and Resource Management

  • Assist in managing the budget and resources allocated to the CEO's Office, ensuring optimal use and adherence to financial guidelines.

    Travel Arrangements

  • Coordinate the Deputy CEO's travel logistics and arrangements.

  • Any other duties as assigned by your line manager.

Specification:

Education and Work Experience

  • BA Degree in Management, Public Administration, Law, Political Science or related fields.
  • 1 year experience for Bachelor.
