Reach The Needy – Ethiopia (RTN-Ethiopia) is a child focused community based, not for profit, non-religious and discrimination free indigenous humanitarian national organization that exists to help the Deprived, Excluded and Vulnerable children become productive, confident and responsible citizens, parents and leaders of tomorrow that directly involve and contribute for the development of the country. RTN has been working different development & humanitarian programs in partnership with ChildFund, CARE Ethiopia, PLAN Ethiopia and UNICEF. 

Therefore, we would like to invite interested and qualified applicants for the following post.

Position:  HR & Administration Head

Number of Position Required: One (1)

Place of work: South Ethiopia, Dilla

Terms of employment: One year Contract with the possibility of extension based on availability of fund and work performance.

Salary: Based on the organization’s salary scale

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Plans, organizes, leads, and evaluates the work of the supervised department; prepares and presents performance reports.

  • Ensures that the organization’s approved positions are budgeted for and facilitates the filling of vacancies through promotion, transfer, or new recruitment

  • Works with ED to identify human resources issues/problems and provides leadership and support in finding solutions.

  • Carefully maintains employee records; compiles and submits monthly timesheet summaries to the Finance department.

  • Responsible in Manpower Planning & Recruitment to carry out all recruitments of the organization
  • Provide Advice to senior management team (SMT) and employees on laws, HR policies and procedures,

  • Responsible for staff induction of new employees and final settlements of employees leaving the Organization.

  • Prepare HR-related letters, contracts, memos, and other official communications

  • Monitor employee attendance, leave requests, and ensure accurate reporting for payroll processing.

  • Provide administrative support in onboarding, orientation, and staff movement documentation.

  • Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of confidential HR records and documents.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and entitlements.

  • Support the performance appraisal process by tracking submissions and consolidating reports.

  • Assist in monitoring compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for HR meetings, training sessions, and events.

  • Prepare routine HR reports and submit to management as required.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: One year Contract with the possibility of extension based on availability of fund and work performance.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Good communication skill in Amharic & English. Knowledge of the project implementation areas languages is needed

SALARY: As per the organization scale.

PLACE OF WORK: Dilla, Head Office. 

  • Qualification (Education, Experience, key qualities, skill and competence

  • Strong knowledge of HR administration and Ethiopian labor laws.

  • Excellent organizational and documentation management skills.

  • Excellent talent Acquisitions Knowledge and experience

  • Good interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Ability to effectively liaise with government, donors, NGOs, community leaders and other stakeholders,

  • Fosters working in teams & teamwork spirit, coach and lead staff.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

  • Flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.

  • Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire and empower others;

  • Demonstrated technical and managerial ability, sound judgment, ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels;
