About the Job

Amhara Bank S.C. is looking for a Junior Branch Operation Support Officer to provide regular support and facilitation to regional offices and branches in their efforts to expand branch operations, mobilize resources, improve revenue, and strengthen customer relationships.

The position will support branch operations, resource mobilization, branch expansion, cross-selling, customer retention, policy and procedure implementation, and coordination between branches and Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

General Functions

  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies that provide necessary support and facilitation to branches and regions to maximize revenue.
  • Provide support and facilitation to ensure the smooth operation of regional offices and branches.
  • Participate in the development, review, and proper implementation of branch operation procedures.
  • Collect and organize branch and regional inquiries regarding facilities and services required from Head Office.
  • Follow up to ensure branch and regional requests are addressed appropriately.
  • Collaborate with other departments, regional offices, and branches on resource mobilization, branch expansion, cross-selling, and customer retention activities.
  • Identify and propose improvements or changes to existing operational formats where required.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Specific Functions

  • Provide the required assistance in all activities of the assigned work unit.
  • Properly maintain important files and records and make them available when required.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and transparency in the workplace.
  • Adhere to the Bank's internal control system and risk management program.
  • Participate in developing, reviewing, and implementing policies, procedures, plans, budgets, and performance reports of the division.
  • Provide relevant departments with timely, accurate, complete, and relevant performance reports.
  • Handle other related activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification

  • BA in Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance and Economics, or another related field.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant banking experience.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
