Job Summary
Amhara Bank is looking for a qualified Senior Liquidity and Market Risk Analyst to strengthen its Risk Management Division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and managing liquidity and market risks while supporting the development of risk policies, stress testing frameworks, and strategic balance sheet management. The role also ensures compliance with internal policies and National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Liquidity & Market Risk Management
- Develop and improve liquidity and market risk management policies and procedures.
- Identify, assess, measure, and monitor liquidity and market risk exposures.
- Monitor the bank's liquidity position and market risk indicators.
- Evaluate capital adequacy in relation to liquidity, market, and operational risks.
Risk Analysis & Stress Testing
- Develop liquidity and market risk models.
- Conduct liquidity and market risk stress testing.
- Monitor early warning indicators.
- Assess the bank's ability to withstand financial stress scenarios.
- Provide strategic recommendations for treasury and balance sheet management.
Policy Development
- Participate in developing departmental plans, budgets, and operational procedures.
- Review and update risk management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and support junior staff members.
