About the Job

iDATA Technology Center Plc is looking for an experienced Senior Software Program Tester to join its Software Development and Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and managing software testing activities to ensure applications meet functional, performance, security, and quality standards before deployment.

This role requires a highly skilled QA professional who can lead testing initiatives, mentor junior testers, implement testing best practices, and collaborate with developers and project teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive software testing strategies, test plans, and testing schedules.
• Define testing scope, objectives, methodologies, and deliverables.
• Estimate testing effort and allocate testing resources effectively.
• Participate in software requirement analysis and project planning.
• Design detailed test scenarios, test cases, and reusable test scripts.
• Perform manual and automated software testing.
• Conduct functional, integration, system, end-to-end, usability, and non-functional testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects until resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Ensure software complies with organizational quality and security standards.
• Recommend improvements to software development and testing processes.
• Maintain testing documentation and quality assurance records.
• Mentor junior software testers and promote QA best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure timely software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• At least 2 years of experience in a senior or team lead software testing role.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
