About the Job

iDATA Technology Center Plc is seeking an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join its Software Development and Quality Assurance Department. The successful candidate will lead software quality assurance activities, ensuring that enterprise applications meet the highest standards of quality, security, performance, and reliability throughout the software development lifecycle.

The role involves developing QA strategies, implementing automated testing frameworks, performing functional and non-functional testing, and working closely with software developers, business analysts, and product teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software quality assurance strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Define QA standards, procedures, best practices, and quality metrics.
• Review software requirements and system designs to identify quality risks.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and automated test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, usability, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate software against business and technical requirements.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and monitor software defects using defect tracking tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure software releases meet quality standards before deployment.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) quality processes.
• Conduct performance, load, stress, scalability, and security testing.
• Collaborate with security teams to validate software reliability and compliance.
• Improve QA processes, workflows, and testing methodologies.
• Promote quality-by-design practices across development teams.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare QA reports, testing documentation, quality dashboards, and audit records.
• Work closely with developers, system administrators, and business teams to improve software quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or software engineering.
• Proven experience testing enterprise software applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
• Strong background in test automation and software quality management.
