About the Job

Ahadu Bank S.C is looking for a qualified and experienced Branch Manager to oversee and manage the overall banking operations of its Addis Ababa Branch. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling branch activities while ensuring compliance with the bank’s operational procedures, regulatory directives, and national banking laws.

The Branch Manager will lead branch staff, drive business growth initiatives, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure operational excellence. The role also involves preparing annual budgets, work plans, performance reports, and representing the bank within the local business community to promote banking services and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily branch banking operations
  • Ensure compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate branch sales and business development activities
  • Improve customer service quality and operational efficiency
  • Prepare annual budgets, work plans, and performance reports
  • Monitor branch targets and staff productivity
  • Build strong relationships with customers and the business community
  • Support team performance, staff development, and branch growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields

Experience

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of banking experience
  • At least one (1) year experience as Customer Service Manager or in an equivalent supervisory role

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) knowledge
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and commercial business law
