Job Summary

Dashen Bank is looking for skilled and customer-focused professionals to join its branch operations team as Customer Service Officer (Maker/Checker).

The Maker is responsible for providing front-office banking services, processing customer transactions, handling account maintenance, and responding to customer inquiries efficiently.

The Checker reviews and authorizes customer transactions, verifies account maintenance requests, ensures compliance with banking policies, and provides quality customer service while maintaining operational accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer account opening, maintenance, and transaction requests.
• Handle cash and non-cash banking transactions accurately.
• Verify and authorize customer transactions according to bank procedures (Checker).
• Respond professionally to customer inquiries and resolve service issues.
• Ensure compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service while promoting bank products and services.
• Support daily branch operations and contribute to operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Management, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or another related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant banking or customer service experience.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of banking products and financial services.
• Knowledge of banking operations, accounting principles, and procedures.
• Experience handling customer service and branch transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with core banking systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional integrity and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work Location

Successful candidates will be assigned to branches located under Dashen Bank's Nekemte District, including:

• Nekemte
• Nekemte Area
• Gambella Region
• Benishangul Region
