Job Summary
The Logistics & Procurement Officer will work closely with program teams, finance staff, and logistics personnel to manage procurement and field logistics activities. The successful candidate will ensure procurement transparency, maintain proper documentation, coordinate deliveries, and oversee field-level asset and fleet management.
The role also supports supplier management, reporting, and supply chain process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
- Ensure transparent and cost-effective procurement processes
- Apply procurement policies and procedures correctly
- Manage procurement databases and supplier records
- Coordinate procurement activities and contract tracking
- Process procurement payments and documentation
- Submit procurement files and reports on time
- Conduct supplier vetting and maintain updated supplier files
- Support teams with procurement planning and contract preparation
Logistics and Asset Control
- Coordinate transportation of procured materials
- Confirm warehouse deliveries and oversee Goods Received Notes (GRNs)
- Ensure proper asset registration and documentation
- Monitor fleet, assets, and field resource tracking systems
- Coordinate dispatch and handover of procured items
Reporting and Operational Support
- Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports
- Support development of supply chain tools and procedures
- Maintain organized procurement files and records
- Ensure ethical procurement and logistics operations
Required Qualifications
