Job Summary
The Project Manager will lead complex and high-value projects from initiation through completion. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, engaging stakeholders, managing risks, tracking performance, and ensuring adherence to project governance standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to successfully deliver projects in a dynamic banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end management of strategic and business-critical projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate project activities to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments when necessary.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business units, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and management.
- Ensure project objectives remain aligned with business requirements.
- Provide regular project updates and status reports to senior leadership.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential challenges.
- Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor emerging issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Escalate critical project concerns to the PMO Director when required.
Governance & Performance Monitoring
- Ensure compliance with Project Management Office (PMO) standards and governance frameworks.
- Track project performance using established KPIs and success metrics.
- Conduct project reviews and maintain accurate documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports and presentations.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Mentor and support junior project managers and project team members.
- Promote best practices in project management across the organization.
- Contribute to the improvement of PMO processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree.
- Proven experience in Project Management, PMO operations, analytics, or reporting roles.
- Experience managing complex projects in banking, finance, or related sectors is highly desirable.
