The organization is currently seeking a highly experienced Crisis & Risk Management Professional to strengthen enterprise risk management, crisis preparedness, compliance, and organizational resilience across Member Associations.
Job Summary
The Crisis & Risk Management Professional will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise risk management (ERM) systems and crisis management frameworks. The role provides technical guidance, structured risk analysis, crisis preparedness support, and strategic reporting to senior leadership while ensuring compliance with international standards and organizational policies.
The successful candidate will work closely with global teams, Member Associations, and senior leadership to strengthen risk-informed decision-making and crisis response capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Risk Management

Support the implementation and enhancement of enterprise risk management frameworks and tools.

Facilitate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning processes.

Monitor organizational risks and internal controls.

Develop risk registers, dashboards, and reporting systems.
-
Ensure alignment with governance frameworks and organizational policies.

Support implementation of risk management practices based on ISO 31000 and COSO frameworks.
Crisis Management & Preparedness

Develop and maintain crisis response protocols and contingency plans.
-
Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
-
Coordinate crisis simulation exercises and preparedness activities.
-
Assist leadership during crisis situations through structured reporting and analysis.

Conduct post-crisis reviews and lessons-learned exercises.
Reporting & Analysis

Prepare executive-level risk reports and analytical dashboards.

Support audit, compliance, and assurance reviews.
-
Provide risk intelligence and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Develop monitoring tools and risk indicators.
Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with safeguarding, compliance, audit, finance, communications, humanitarian, and security teams.

Facilitate communication between Member Associations and headquarters.

Support implementation of organizational risk and crisis management standards globally.

Provide technical support and advisory services to Member Associations.
Business Continuity & Resilience

Advise on the design and testing of Business Continuity Plans (BCP).

Support Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).
-
Conduct scenario planning and stress-testing exercises.
-
Strengthen organizational resilience and operational preparedness.
Safeguarding & Compliance
-
Promote a culture of accountability, safeguarding, and ethical conduct.

Ensure safeguarding considerations are integrated into risk management activities.

Report safeguarding concerns according to organizational procedures.
-
Support implementation of compliance and risk management policies.
Qualification Requirements
Education
Master's Degree in one of the following fields:

Related disciplines
Experience
-
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in risk management, crisis management, audit, compliance, internal control, or related fields.

At least 5 years of experience advising senior executives, boards, or international leadership teams.

Experience in international NGOs, federations, or multinational organizations is highly desirable.

Experience with ISO 31000, ISO 22301, COSO, and related frameworks.
