About the Job
Marie Stopes International Ethiopia (MSIE) is seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Radiologic Technologist to support the delivery of high-quality radiologic services at its Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Specialty Centre in Bahir Dar.
Reporting directly to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring radiologic imaging services, including X-ray, mammography, and ultrasound procedures. The role also involves ensuring compliance with radiologic safety standards, maintaining imaging equipment, and supporting quality healthcare services for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic procedures including X-ray, mammography, and ultrasound examinations
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiologic equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct obstetric, gynecological, and abdominal ultrasound examinations
- Interpret routine chest, abdominal, and musculoskeletal radiographic images and prepare reports
- Ensure compliance with radiologic safety and occupational health standards
- Implement quality control procedures to maintain accurate diagnostic imaging services
- Maintain records and prepare periodic performance reports
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care
- Participate in supportive supervision visits to MSIE centers with radiologic services
- Contribute to research activities and project development initiatives
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc Degree in Medical Radiologic Technology from a recognized college or university
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
