Job Summary
The Medical Doctor and Team Lead will support implementation and supervision of the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) program. The successful candidate will oversee clinical teams delivering primary healthcare services to pediatric and adult patients while ensuring adherence to medical protocols and infection prevention standards.
The role also involves rapid health assessments, outbreak monitoring, clinical supervision, reporting, and coordination with government and humanitarian stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care and Patient Management
- Provide primary healthcare services to adult and pediatric patients
- Conduct patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
- Request and interpret laboratory investigations
- Prescribe medications and provide dosage instructions
- Handle emergency stabilization and patient referrals
- Perform wound care and minor medical procedures
- Support antenatal, postnatal, and neonatal care services
- Maintain infection prevention and patient confidentiality standards
MMU Operations and Team Leadership
- Supervise daily Mobile Medical Unit operations
- Conduct field visits to mobile clinic locations
- Monitor medical equipment and pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide technical mentoring and clinical training for healthcare staff
- Ensure culturally sensitive and patient-centered healthcare delivery
Assessments, Monitoring, and Reporting
- Support implementation of health and nutrition program strategies

- Monitor and report outbreak-prone diseases

Required Qualifications

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized institution
- Valid and renewed medical practitioner license
- Minimum 5 years of professional clinical experience
- Experience working in hospitals, clinics, or low-resource environments
- INGO experience is an added advantage
- Strong understanding of emergency healthcare and public health systems
- Experience in supervising healthcare teams and field operations
Language Requirements
