Job Summary

The Regional MERL Analyst will support implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) system through data collection, verification, analysis, and reporting activities.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate and high-quality program data to support decision-making, performance measurement, and reporting requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of monitoring and results measurement systems
  • Collect, clean, validate, and manage program data
  • Conduct field verification visits and monitoring activities
  • Support quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting
  • Maintain databases, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Assist with surveys, research, and program assessments
  • Document success stories and case studies
  • Ensure compliance with MERL standards and procedures
  • Support data quality assurance and reporting accuracy

Required Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Statistics
    • Economics
    • Data Science
    • Development Studies
    • Or related fields
  • Master’s Degree is an added advantage
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong skills in:
    • Data collection and validation
    • Quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Database management
    • Reporting and visualization
  • Familiarity with MERL tools such as:
    • Excel
    • Power BI
    • Kobo Toolbox
  • Experience supporting development programs
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel for field verification and data collection
