Job Summary
The Programme Support Officer will support coordination and implementation of the Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP) in Africa. The successful candidate will work closely with IOM, ILO, GIZ, AU institutions, and development partners to support programme activities, reporting, monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and policy-related initiatives.
The role also contributes to labour migration policy development, programme evaluations, and regional cooperation activities.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Coordination and Support
- Support coordination with IOM, ILO, GIZ, and programme stakeholders
- Monitor implementation of programme activities against approved work plans
- Support organization of steering committee and technical meetings
- Maintain project calendars and activity schedules
- Contribute to programme implementation monitoring and reporting
Reporting and Documentation
- Draft narrative reports and programme updates
- Prepare meeting minutes and technical reports
- Support development of policy briefs and talking points
- Document lessons learned, best practices, and programme achievements
- Maintain project documentation and knowledge management systems
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Support programme monitoring against JLMP logical frameworks
- Assist in donor compliance tracking and reporting
- Support programme evaluations and M&E activities
- Analyze progress reports and identify implementation challenges
- Propose practical solutions for programme improvement
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
- Maintain active stakeholder networks and communication
- Facilitate collaboration with government and regional institutions
- Support cooperation with development partners and UN agencies
- Promote information sharing and regional capacity building initiatives
Required Qualifications
